Darcy Padgett, the Executive Director and co-founder of Bee Busy Learning Academy, also call Bee Busy, along with her husband Norman Mitchell have been working tirelessly in the fight to eradicate HIV in African-American and Latino communities for over 14 years, throughout Houston and surrounding Counties. Bee Busy has not been in this fight alone. We are at a critical moment in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The world has made incredible progress in its efforts to understand, prevent and treat this disease, and progress has been particularly rapid during the last ten years. Throughout Houston, there are countless Houstonians in the fight daily. Each making heroic contributions in the fight against AIDS. Bee Busy, Inc. along with our national partner the National Black AIDS Institute are please to announce the 2015 Houston Heroes in the Struggle Award.
