Northern IL Food Bank

The Northern Illinois Food Bank provides food through a network of 800 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and has a number of other direct distribution programs to assist hungry neighbors. The NIU Food Bank leads the community in solving hunger by providing nutritious meals to those in need through innovative programs and partnerships. Comcast Cares volunteer contributions included sorting, labeling, and packing items such as toiletries, cereal, and produce that will ultimately help more than 60,000 hungry neighbors, served by the Northern Illinois Food Bank each week.
