Jenny Johnson

Jenny Johnson is a three-time Emmy®-winning executive producer and television personality, serving as a Boston-based host of Comcast Newsmakers.

Johnson recently launched her own production company, where she partnered with NESN and long-time colleague Billy Costa to create “Dining Playbook,” offering an inside guide to restaurants and nightlife. Viewers enjoy Johnson’s educational cooking segments, profiles on new restaurants and behind-the-scenes interviews with culinary masters.

Johnson frequently appears as a TV reporter in films produced in Boston. She appeared in the Denzel Washington movie “The Equalizer,” and most recently played a reporter in “Bleed for This,” a Martin Scorsese-executive-produced biopic of Rhode Island boxer Vinny Pazienza.

Johnson is involved with numerous charitable organizations. She is an advocate and rider for the Pan-Mass Challenge and recently hiked Mount Kilimanjaro with Flying Kites, a locally based non-profit focused on creating a foundation for the children of Kenya. As an event emcee, auctioneer and member of various local and regional boards, Johnson has raised thousands of dollars for local and regional non-profit organizations. She sits on the board of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and the Boston Center for Adult Education; and is an overseer for the Boston Ballet.

A Massachusetts native, Johnson is an honors graduate from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in communications. She enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, hiking and rock climbing.
