Eric Clemons

Eric Clemons is a veteran broadcaster who serves as a host of Comcast Newsmakers in New England.

Clemons began his career in local television at WALA-TV in Mobile, Ala. From there, he accepted a role at ESPN’s “SportsCenter.” Clemons covered Mike Tyson’s heavyweight title reign, as well as Michael Jordan’s first NBA title with the Chicago Bulls.

After leaving ESPN, Clemons furthered his career in sports broadcasting at FOX Sports’ “FOX NFL Sunday,” BET, WFSB-TV in Hartford, WHDH-TV in Boston, and WVUE-TV in New Orleans. He has covered just about every major sporting event over his 30-plus-year career. Clemons has always offered advice and help to those on the same career path and those not, and has a long list of people he has befriended along the way.

Clemons is currently a freelance broadcaster with ESPN’s College Football. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 33 years, Renita, and has two children, ages 29 and 25.
