Candace Kelley

Candace Kelley is a five-time Emmy®-nominated multimedia journalist who currently serves as a host of Comcast Newsmakers in Florida and greater Philadelphia.

As an award-winning documentarian and writer, Kelley has been up close and personal with some of the most dynamic figures of our time. She is well-known for her work as a reporter for NY1 News, CN8, WNJN-TV, Lawcast and Court TV.

Armed with a law degree, Kelley has lectured and written widely on the issues of television, the law and empowering individuals. As a national correspondent for BET, she gave gavel-to-gavel legal coverage for the Sean “Puffy” Combs trial. For seven years, Kelley served as host of the only program dedicated to African-American issues in New Jersey, giving millions of public television viewers insight into critical topics.

Kelley is a contributor to several publications including The Huffington Post and TV Worth Watching.

Kelley is also a professor at Rowan University, where she teaches a series of television courses and communication law, including intellectual property, libel law and FCC principles. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, her Master of Science from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and her Bachelor of Arts from Howard University.

She has been part of the Comcast family for more than 15 years.
