Proposed Life Hub Could Drop Barriers Homeless Currently Face

Melissa Adams, City of Wheeling

Those facing homeless may not be able to get housing or other types of help because of barriers like lack of identification, social security cards, birth certificates and criminal backgrounds. Guest Melissa Adams, Homeless Liaison for the City of Wheeling, tells host Sheila Hyland about the proposed Life Hub concept, a different type of shelter where these barriers are dropped and a homeless person gets immediate help the moment they walk in from available services in a central location. wheelingwv.gov
