Urban Prepared

Village Leadership Academy is a nonprofit kindergarten through 8th-grade private school with a curriculum rooted in social justice. Their students are empowered to identify and engage in issues facing their communities. Each grade takes part in a year-long GrassRoots Campaign to affect change through hands-on activism. As many of these issues are global concerns, VLA's in-depth studies and travel through the World Scholars Program give their students a unique perspective about challenges facing cultures in other parts of the world.
