Getting to Equal Together

Barbara Lumpkin, Chicago Urban League

The Chicago Urban League works to advance educational equality, economic empowerment and social justice for African Americans and promotes strong, sustainable communities through advocacy, collaboration and innovation. The League serves more than 15,000 youth and adults each year through direct services and programming, helping people find jobs, secure affordable housing, advance their education, and grow their businesses. On Saturday, November 2, 2019, the Chicago Urban League will hold its 58th Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner. The League's signature gala is its most important fundraiser of the year, raising critically needed dollars to support its important mission. Each year, roughly 1,500 of Chicagoland's business, civic, and community leaders attend the event, which typically features outstanding live, musical entertainment. Tickets will go on sale to the public in September at www.ChiUL.org
