In 1702 Marie-Therese Guyon Cadillac and Anne Picote de Belestre de Tonti joined their husbands at Fort Pontchartrain (Detroit), becoming the first two European women settlers in Michigan. Michigan Women Forward is celebrating Women in Michigan and all the important contributions made to the state. Carolyn Cassin, CEO of Michigan Women Forward joins Laurel Hess to discuss the importance of recognizing Women in the State of Michigan - past and present.
