Substance Abuse in Rural Areas

Whiteside County Community Health Clinic is expanding both its behavioral health department by adding tele-psych in October of 2018 and an additional case manager for substance abuse treatment. The tele-psych psychiatrist will enable faster access to medication management for behavioral health patients. The Clinic's Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for the treatment of opioids and other substance abuse is growing and adding a second induction room as well as a second MAT case manager will allow for more patients to enter into the MAT program for treatment.
