Bridging the Gap

Hazel Crest Police Chief Mitchell Davis

The relationship between law enforcement and communities of color has historically been strained. Law enforcement should serve all communities, no matter what their cultural or economic makeup. It is up to leadership in law enforcement to begin to develop relationships and systems that can benefit both sides. It is essential that both sides work together for the common good, and that can only be done most effectively as partners. Police Chief Mitchell R. Davis III discusses ways that he and the organizations that he is involved in are actively working to making these needed changes happen.
