Japanese American Internment Camps part 1
with Ron Mori of Japanese American Citizens League
2017 marks the 75th anniversary of the internment of Japanese Americans in the U.S. during World War II. Nearly 120,000 people of Japanese descent, both immigrants, and U.S. citizens were ordered to assembly centers and sent to permanent relocation centers, which some refer to as concentration camps. Ron Mori of the Japanese American Citizens League shares his family's story and sheds light on what thousands of other families endured. This discussion continues in part 2 (Japanese American Internment Camps).
