Southern New Hampshire Services provides assistance to the Granite State's low income population in order to break the cycle of poverty. Executive Director, Donnalee Lozeau joins Jenny Johnson from the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.
Boys and Girls Club of Manchester CEO, Diane Fitzpatrick, talks about the Club's focus areas; including access to health and dental care. Diane also shares a new approach to community partnerships used to leverage resources and provide meaningful and collaborative services. One of those partnerships is with Easter Seals.
According to a recent report, American taxpayers spent an average of $39 billion a year over the past 5 years to support solar energy initiatives, yet one percent of electricity consumed by American comes from solar sources. A discussion with David Williams, President of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance.
Williams said, "We've been investing in solar for 40 years... and less than 1% of our energy is generated by solar power."
