Yolanda Vazquez

Yolanda Maria Vazquez is a two-time Emmy® award-winning reporter. As a Comcast Newsmakers host, Vazquez interviews nonprofit and political influencers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Vazquez also hosts multiple programs for Maryland Public Television, including “MotorWeek,” a nationally syndicated automotive show that airs each week on more than 200 PBS stations. She has worked as a freelance reporter/producer for international news organizations ranging from CCTV America to Ebru TV.

While in Orlando, Vazquez served as the morning reporter for WOFL-TV, where she chronicled the day’s events via live news reports and breaking news packages. Notable stories covered included the death of St. John Paul II, local reaction to the 2005 London terror attacks, interviews with Hurricane Katrina evacuees and the launch and landing of Space Shuttle Discovery.

Vazquez has experience in public relations, with past clients including McDonald’s, Melbourne International Airport, the Orlando Housing Authority, Automotive Services Network and Waste Management.

Vazquez graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in television film and production. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Silver Telly Council and the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
