Eric Minor

Eric Minor is an award-winning television news anchor and multimedia journalist whose full-time job is providing career coaching to students at West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media. He serves as host of Comcast Newsmakers in West Virginia.

Minor’s 22-year broadcasting career has taken him from the White House press room, to the sidelines of the Super Bowl, to the launch pad of NASA’s LADEE lunar probe.

Minor worked as an anchor, reporter and producer for WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, W.Va., after graduating from the P.I. Reed School of Journalism, and then embarked on a 17-year career with WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio/Wheeling, W.Va.

During his tenure at WTOV-TV, Minor also did freelance work for WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh. He interviewed state, local and federal lawmakers on the public affairs program “One on One with Eric Minor” and was the principal anchor for WTOV-TV’s evening newscasts.

In 2014, Minor completed a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications and launched a new career in education.
