A record number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced in state legislatures across the United States in 2022, according to the Human Rights Campaign, while the Public Religion Research Institute states that 79% of people nationwide favor laws that protect LGBTQ+ Americans against discrimination in jobs, housing, health care and other rights.
