More than 474,000 African Americans live in Miami-Dade County, according to the latest Census figures – making up about 16% of the county’s population. One local nonprofit has recently gone through a bit of a makeover in order to cultivate innovation and leadership within the black community. Felecia Hatcher-Pearson is the CEO of the newly formed Center For Black Innovation and explains their new organization.
