Tinker Swiss Cottage is a Victorian House Museum located in the heart of downtown Rockford, Illinois. As the founding site of the city, Tinker Swiss Cottage offers daily historical tours of the home that focus on early Rockford history, along with Victorian Era history and the story of the Tinker family. Robert Tinker, a previous Rockford mayor and city pioneer, built his home in 1865 which still contains 98% of their belongings to this day. The museum also offers Murder Mystery Nights, Paranormal events, and field trip opportunities for schools in the Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin region.
