Magdalene House Chicago (MHC) will be a home and enterprise for positive, personal changes in Chicago’s anti-sex trafficking industry. The Dreamcatcher Foundation reports that in metropolitan Chicago, 16,000 to 25,000 women and girls are involved in the commercial sex trade. 51% of these women reported being forced to have sex with more than 10 individuals a day. The average age for a young woman being sold for sex is now 13 years old. MHC will offer a safe place for those ready to heal from lives of trauma. Support MHC by attending the Amy Black Concert Brunch at City Winery on October 6th – proceeds will benefit MHC.
