Collaborating as a Community
Nathan Bryant - Rockford Area Economic Development Council
The Rockford Region is poised on the brink of greatness. This region is next; Chicago as an ever-growing international city acknowledges the Rockford area as an opportunity region. What has caused people to take notice? 1,825,000sq ft of new and renovated space and a capital investment of more than $160,000,000. However, this incredible growth is not the result of a single organization’s voice or one individual’s leadership. Our region’s ability to get out of our own way and collaborate as a community to create and achieve a clear vision of our future is driving economic activity that is causing others (potential investors, future community members, and competitive communities) to take notice. Nathan Bryant, President and CEO of the Rockford Area Economic Development Council (RAEDC) discusses how the RAEDC is collaborating with regional stakeholders to cultivate opportunities for primary job growth that increase the economic well-being of our region. Together our region is speaking up and speaking loudly on the tremendous opportunity available in our region.
