Ever Changing Array of Exhibits - 5:16
Ann Marie Walker - Discovery Center Museum

Discovery Center Museum prides itself on its constant planning and installation of new permanent and traveling exhibits while keeping perennial favorites updated. It is important for a hands-on museum to always be thinking ahead to new ideas for events and exhibits. This provides visitors reasons to keep returning to the museum. There is an important balance between keeping exhibits that children want and expect to see each time they visit and offering new experiences for them. This summer we installed several new exhibits including a new light table and rocket launcher. In addition, the Museum will be opening an exhibit September 22 called Comets, Asteroids and Meteors: Great Balls of Fire! This exhibit is aimed at children in grades 3 and older. Then in January - May Discovery Center will host a second temporary exhibit all about Thomas the Tank Engine - a wildly popular NickJr. cartoon and book series about a train engine and his friends. This exhibit is aimed at preschool-age children.
