2018 Comcast Leaders & Achievers

Comcast Leaders and Achievers are high school seniors who have been selected for their outstanding community service, academic performance and leadership skills. The award, funded by the Comcast Foundation, is a one-time, $1,000 scholarship to be used toward tuition costs for college and other eligible postsecondary education and related expenses. In this past academic year, Comcast NBCUniversal recognized 175 high school seniors from the Greater Chicago Region, and more than 2,000 Leaders and Achievers in total nationwide. Since 2001, Comcast NBCUniversal has awarded more than $28 million in scholarships to approximately 27,000 students to help them pursue higher education. On June 7 the scholarship winners were honored with a luncheon at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Hosted by NBC5 anchor Alex Maragos, the event featured a keynote address by Rashied Davis, former Chicago Bears wide receiver and founder of Saturday’s Place.
