A Conversation with Lois Main Templeton
with Lois Main Templeton, Contemporary Artist
Born in 1928, artist Lois Main Templeton experienced a Wisconsin childhood. Painting only arrived in the 1970's when, she was living near San Francisco, the materials themselves called out and her fingers itched to get a hold of them. The high horizons and rimrock, typical of the West, can still be the first thing to climb on her canvases. Comcast Newsmakers Field Reporter Talor Whitaker sits down with Lois from inside her very own exhibit at the Indiana State Museum for a thorough discussion on her life and tenure within the artist community.
