The Crohn's& Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures forCrohn's Diseaseandulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.Itwas founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D. Beyond research, the Foundation is collaborating with healthcare providers to improve IBD quality of care, as well as educating, supporting, and empowering patients and their caregivers through patient-centric education and advocacy programs. The Immunization Partnership helps individuals, physicians and others to make smart choices about protecting their communities from vaccine-preventable diseases. Every year, roughly 3 million people die from vaccine-preventable diseases worldwide, and countless more suffer life-long disabilities. TIP endeavors to prevent what's preventable. All across Texas, TIP conducts community and provider forums to educate the public on the latest in vaccine-related science and policy, advocates for evidence-based legislation, and builds the capacity of community-based immunization coalitions.
