Posted Jan 10, 2018

Purple Songs Can Fly is a unique program that provides a musical outlet for the many children being treated for cancer and blood disorders at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers. In this program, which is the first of its kind, the children and their siblings work with founder, Anita Kruse, and other professional singer/songwriters in an in-hospital recording studio to write, record, and burn songs to disc within short sessions. Child Advocates and the McDonald's Houston Children's Festival

Every 9 minutes, a child in Texas experiences abuse or neglect. Nearly 4,000 children in the Houston area have experienced such life-threatening abuse or neglect that they had to be removed from their homes and placed in foster care. Child Advocates trains everyday people to advocate for the best interests of these children in court so they can find safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. Ashley Brockette, PR/Marketing talks about how you can support the organization.
