There are many people that do not understand the importance of township government. We are able to reach out to people with programs that the state can not provide. Thornton Township works with groups such as CEDA and Salvation Army and we also have a very large Food Assistance programs as well as GED/Job Training programs. By collaborating with the local college, south suburban and local businesses we are able to do this.
