Heather Anichini, The Chicago Public Education Fund
Posted Dec 13, 2017
School principals are second only to teachers in the impact they have on children. In Chicago, as the number of strong public school principals has increased, so have student academic gains - from reading scores to graduation rates. Since 2013, The Chicago Public Education Fund has been supporting and enabling great principals through programs that meet their needs. For example, they run a Fellowship and partnership with Northwestern University to serve top principals, and a Summer Design Program to help principals and their teacher teams develop innovative solutions to longstanding challenges. With us today is Heather Anichini, president and CEO of The Fund, to talk with us about the organization's work and impact in Chicago.
