Bennett: It's a lovely location, different location this year.

Gould: We've traveled back down to Evansville. It's been about a decade since we've been here and our members are also excited.

Bennett: There has also been a name change...

Gould: Yes, we are now Accelerate Indiana Municipalities. That came with a lot of internal changes that our members are starting to see the benefit of that. The response to the new way Aim is moving forward has been great.

Bennett: You talk about that why it's so important to get everyone together every year?

Gould: Absolutely. We have a lot of unique communities across the state. This is an opportunity for them to network and as everyone always says this is a great opportunity to "not" reinvent the wheel.

Bennett: How does Indiana compare to other states when it comes to these issues.

Gould: In the Midwest, we see the same challenges that affect local governments.?Indiana, in particular, has an economy firing on all cylinders. The challenges for local government is now attracting and retaining talent and the workforce to the jobs we have available. The millenial generation is prone to decide where they want to live and then get a job.

Bennett: That is so important. I hear every year. Keep the workforce here and not go elsewhere.

Gould: We are now seeing a new economic driver in our state, tech industry. It is booming here with Salesforce and other companies. We are looking at getting Amazon's second headquarters...
