61 percent of low-income families have no age-appropriate books in their homes. Junior League of Greater Springfield has made it their top priority to donate books and keep them stocked, little red bookshelves in sites in Springfield and Holyoke. Another program making a big impact is "Done is a Day", whether a diaper drive, turkey drive, canned goods drive or back packs.
Mission Statement
The Junior League of Greater Springfield is an organization of?women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained?volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Junior?Leagues reach out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism.
Vision Statement
The Junior League of Greater Springfield will improve the?lives of children and families in the community by collaborating with other organizations to assist families in need and to promote literacy and education.
