Cristo Rey Community Center has helped many people get back on their feet during difficult times. They work to assist those in need of a doctor, food or clothing. When things felt the most desperate they were treated with the understanding and compassion that everyone deserves. The Michigan Women's Commission was created by statute in 1968. The Commission reviews the status of women in Michigan, directing attention to critical problems confronting women, recommending ways of overcoming discrimination, enabling women to develop skills, making surveys and recognizing women's accomplishments and contributions to Michigan.
