When disaster strikes, Florida's emergency preparedness programs allow residents to come together and respond with volunteers and donations. The Sunshine State was hit particularly hard in 2016 with incidents like the Pulse Nightclub shooting and Hurricane Matthew, but one organization is stepping in at a moment's notice. Marcia Warfel, Emergency Management Specialist with Volunteer Florida, chats with Comcast Newsmakers about its efforts in the state.
