Tammy Smith, Member of the Board of Directors of Out and Equal Workplace Advocates, discusses efforts to further workplace protection for LGBTQ employees. Of the current state of equal protection, Smith said, In 29 states in the United States, "you can be fired for simply being LGBT and being identified at work.
