It is estimated that there are about 700,000 transgender individuals in America, according to a study by the Williams Institute at UCLA's School of Law. In recent months, the transgender community has had success in gaining some federal protections as advocates continue to work toward equality. A discussion with Jody Huckaby, Executive Director of PFLAG National.
