SCORE Houston Founded in 1964, SCORE (Service Corps Of Retired Executives) is a valuable network of 11,000 volunteers who, through 360 chapters nationwide, offer small business entrepreneurs practical business counseling advice at no charge for the Life of Your Business (from conception to profitable growth). SCORE is a Resource Partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. SCORE volunteers, working and retired executives and small business owners, serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business." They are real-world professionals with time-tested knowledge who donate thousands of hours to help small businesses succeed. Counselors are experts in such areas as accounting, finance, marketing, management and business plan preparation. ALL SCORE SERVICES ARE FREE We offer free and confidential advice and long-term mentoring to help you start, grow and manage your business - from idea, to startup, to success. We also offer low cost seminars and workshops for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs; an excellent opportunity to network with local, small business owners. Houston Chapter of SCORE, with more than 130 volunteers, has been helping entrepreneurs and small business owners in Houston since 1965. In 2015, SCORE assisted clients in more than 6500 mentoring sessions, and 4500 people in workshops and seminars.
