Accessibility Issues with Paul Schroeder
"There?s a lot of ways in which people with vision loss are fully able to participate in society. A lot of good things have happened ... But one of the things we really want to focus on would be technology and the important role that it plays in allowing people with vision loss to have all of the opportunities and access to information that people with sight have."
According to the Centers for Disease Control's National Health Interview Survey, more than 20 million Americans are living with vision loss-- that's 10 percent of the adult population. Paul Schroeder, Vice President for Programs and Policy at the American Foundation for the Blind discusses continuing efforts to make the world a more accessible place for people with vision loss.
