U.S. teen pregnancy and birth rates have declined dramatically over the past two decades and are now at historic lows. Despite this progress, the United States still has the highest rates of teen pregnancy and childbearing in the developed world. Bill Albert, Chief Program Officer for The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy discusses why, though rates are down, we should still be concerned.
Regarding teen pregnancy, Albert said, "About 86% of all teen pregnancies are reported by the young women themselves as unplanned."
