Funding for Support Programs - 4:36
Jim Clark, President and C.E.O. of Boys and Girls Clubs of America
Posted Mar 24, 2015
More than 16 million children live in homes where they don't have access to a healthy meal, and with 1 out of 5 children in America living in poverty, child hunger is a huge issue. Jim Clark,?President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America discusses funding for support programs to combat hunger and other issues facing children. Clark stated, "It's unfortunate... that so many children today don't have access to the proper nutrition and/or meals... 16 million kids today are really falling into that category so it really points to the importance of having access for kids to meal programs such as schools during the day, but most importantly after school or before school programs... so that they can have a meal."
