Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Board President

Illinois Government Local

Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County discusses reforming juvenile justice. The office would like to see fewer youth in jail and an automatic expungement for juvenile non violent crimes.

Repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act could have a dramatic impact on the Cook County Health and Hospitals System, Cook County finances and access to health for up a half-million Cook County residents. The Cook County Board continues to monitor activities around the ACA and advocate on the city’s behalf. The board also has been successful in the continuing efforts to reform juvenile justice law. The Legislature passed our juvenile expungement bill prior to the end of the session.
