The Sikh population is comprised of about 700,000 people in the U.S. And while Sikhs have been in America for more than a century, they still highly misunderstood. What efforts are being made to improve engagement and awareness about this community? Manjit Singh, co-founder of SALDEF, the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund shares initiatives aimed at increasing awareness about the Sikhs and stemming the tide of racist and bias-motivated attacks against the Sikh Americans and all minority communities in the country.
