RPM is changing the face of rescue in Houston by implementing a supply and demand model to animal rescue, matching areas of the United States with a demand for homeless animals with Houston’s supply.RPM has helped BARC achieve its highest save rates in its history, reaching a high of 72% in February. The City of Houston has an estimated 800,000 to 1.2 million strays living on our streets and RPM is providing an innovative way to help save them.Average cost to save each animal is about $100 in vetting and $75 in transport costs. RPM desperately needs funding and volunteers to sustain its lifesaving program.
